SOCIAL MEDIA PLATFOM AND INTERACTION

In the past 10 years, social media and its importance has grown tremendously in the entire world. People have become closer to one another and things have become more fast to be done. Everything is so easily accessible, deliverable, obtained, and conveyed. Social Media is basically called as a computer-mediated tool that allows people to connect with each other across the world in virtual communities and networks. The importance of social media presence in today’s man’s life is as much as breathing for him. Social Media technology has different forms considering the type of information to be shared: photo sharing, video sharing, blogs, product/service review, news update, social network, online books, social games and so on. On the biggest platform for social networking that comes under social media is the website called Facebook. Facebook has 1.59 Billion users that are monthly active across the world.
This website not only provides basic facility for people to connect with one another on personal level, but also it provides a very vast platform of connectivity in the form of groups and communities. Facebook provides the facilities of online social groups, event pages, fan pages, games, news, and applications and so on. One can say that whatever exists in the real world appears on Facebook. Celebrities make their Fan Pages on Facebook which is followed by thousands and millions of their fans by just clicking the button ‘like’ on it. More followers (likes) are there on the page, more popular that page get. There are also some ways to buy real Facebook fans, in such a way all fan pages get into competition with one another and Facebook grows more. Similarly there is another website for social networking called “Twitter”. Twitter is mostly used by corporates and news channels as it enables the user to send and read short 140-character messages called “tweets”. Twitter has 332 Million active users since January 2016. In the process of growth of twitter is somehow similar to that of Facebook. Twitter also makes connection between people by making them to follow one another in order to keep in touch with them and their activities. 
The difference is that, in case of Twitter, the popularity of an individual or company depends on the number of re-tweets done by its followers. More re-tweets of certain message by an individual or community are there, more popular it gets and Twitter grows more. Like Facebook, Twitter also has ways to buy fast re-tweets. It also provides means to buy real twitter followers so that the user can have a greater number of them. 
Another prominent feature of Twitter is Twitter hashtag. Users can group posts together by topic or type by use of hashtags – words or phrases prefixed with a "#" sign. Twitter is also called as SMS of the internet as it provides the facility to convey the message in short and slang language like usually done in the case of Cell Phone Message. 
There are many other platforms of social networking which are popular especially among youth. As the popularity of this forum is growing, its pros with cons are also growing. However it is advised that such platforms should be used in a limit because social media is now become an addiction and excess of everything is harmful.
